Our Story

Gladis is my grandmother.

She came to the States from Cuba many years ago, and was a big part of my childhood. She was always in the kitchen. Apron on, something cooking, and somehow always making enough for everyone.

When I was living in West Hollywood, I’d come down to visit her in Buena Park, and she’d send me home with containers filled with whatever she had made that day. Friends, roommates—anyone around was always welcome at her table.

That was just who she was.

Gladis Provisions is my way of carrying that forward. Inspired by my Cuban roots—and time spent living in Florida, this project started with one simple question: Why is it so hard to find a really good Cuban sandwich? So I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Today, Gladis Provisions is a pop-up concept serving Cuban sandwiches, Iced Café Con Leche, and Pastelitos at events, markets, and private gatherings.
